Founding Artistic Director
Radha S. Menon
Interdisciplinary artist, Menon began performing in British theatre and television in her youth. Her plays, Blackberry, Sita’s Revenge, Ganga’s Ganja, Rukmini’s Gold, Rise of the Prickly Pear, The Circus & The Washing Machine have been produced for many theatre festivals in Canada, the U.K. and India. Multi-award winner, Rukmini’s Gold will be remounted in 2022. Menon is the founding Artistic Director of Red Beti Theatre and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph and is editing her first novel, Death Cry of a Peacock.

Administrator
Dawn Grant
Dawn Grant is a multidisciplinary artist experienced in designing characters and creatures, fabricating props and wearable art, and developing artistic and narrative nuances. With 14+ years working in advertising, TV & Film, fashion, photography and events, she brings experience, visual artistry and creative direction for projects, productions and events. As a Therapeutic Art Practitioner, she applies her diverse experience and artistry, in facilitating safe spaces of art making, tailoring creative processes to assist individuals in self exploration, understanding and conflict resolution.

Producer
Alma Sarai
Alma (she/her) is excited to be the Associate Producer for the Decolonise your Ears Festival this year. Other producing credits include Associate Producer and Executive Director for Tottering Biped Theatre's Shakespeare by Nature project. Alma is also an actor and arts advocate in the GTHA.

Outreach
Taran Bamrah
Taran is a South Asian actor, writer, educator, and emerging producer with a zest for storytelling. A graduate of the Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies program at the University of Toronto, Taran brings a dynamic blend of talent and experience to her craft. Throughout her artistic journey, Taran has had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with a variety of arts organizations, including Toronto Fringe, Hart House Theatre, JAYU, The AMY Project, Theatre Passe Muraille, The Foster Festival, Cow Patti Theatre, Young People’s Theatre, The Traveling Stage, Generator and now the Red Beti Theatre. She thrives on the energy and creativity that come from working with others and believes that collaboration is at the heart of great storytelling. Taran is on a mission to empower and nurture new talent, driven by her dedication to showcasing compelling and essential stories that challenge social norms. She aims to create meaningful art that resonates deeply with audiences and sparks important conversations.

Ahla Arain
Ahla is an undergraduate student at the University of Toronto, Double Majoring in Dramaturgy and Criminology with a Minor in Political Science. She is ecstatic to be a part of Red Beti Theatre, having worked for numerous University organizations managing social media accounts, posts and websites, creating content, and more. She aims to sharpen her skills through her valuable experience at Red Beti Theatre.
